Hi there. Tony Potter here. From the long wintered city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

I apologize for not updating this web site for literally years. Time has slipped by a bit quicker than I would like to admit. It IS on my list of things to do though, so check back sometime soon and see if I actually did it.

As for 'who' I am... I was born/raised in/around Knoxville, TN. Quite the country boy actually. I was born with a desire to draw/paint/sculpt/
create/write/photograph/etc. I received my BFA in Art Education focusing on illustration and design from Austin Peay in Clarksville, TN. Teaching is something I love to do, but teachers are a neglected resource. I turned to computer graphics and that suited me. Aside from freelance design, I am currently employed at Rockwell Collins, Inc. in Cedar Rapids where I design ads, brochures, trade show graphics, etc.

I enjoy drawing the most, though I am about to take the leap into oil painting. Currently when I paint, I do quite a bit of watercolor or acrylic washes over drawings. My "style" leans toward children's illustrations or portraits.

I mostly use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and misc other applications for design. My "style" there leans toward the clean or classic look. I suppose I see the computer as more of a 'tool', not so much the 'miracle solution'.

In addition to design and painting, I also enjoy writing/illustrating children's stories, many of which I make up as bedtime stories for my little girl. She definitely has her favorites. I have several pretty good ones 'fleshed' out and hope to find the time/initiative to get them down and illustrated soon.
